Many homes in the DC/VA area are torn down to make a home livable for the modern family. The Hillside House is the perfect example of what an Arlington homeowner can do with their simple ranch style home. This renovation looks to be a completely custom home but was built entirely from the existing framework of the old structure. Our firm works hard to preserve buildings, wherever we can, in order to minimize cost as well as disturbance to the land around it.
The owners wanted a home that gave each member of the family their own places to relax but several public spaces to spend time together. The screened porch provides a complete extension of the open family room and dining area. The large glass folding doors tuck back to make the space flow easily from interior to exterior
